What a great place for a family meal. The staff treated us fabulously. The menu was terrific and the food tasted wonderful.
We had one of the best value-for-money meals here—definitely one of the best pub meals we’ve ever had! The T-bone steak was cooked to absolute perfection, and the Caesar salad was fresh and delicious. I was so impressed with the wide range of gluten-free options available—it’s rare to have that much choice! The staff were absolutely incredible—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
First time visit tonight and safe to say it won't be the last . The food was exceptional,the Guinness was Glorious and the service especially by Ross was fantastic. Great evening, highly recommended
We arrived yesterday for my sons birthday with my in laws who are in their 90s so struggle to walk. Johan and Gilles greeted us at the doors opening the doors for my in laws, making sure they were aware of changes in floor materials for their walkers, got them both cushions for the chairs and helped them both to their seats! The booking was incredibly easy over email, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing (even the children in there were all given crayons and colouring books!). They also didn't add the 10% service charge that others are doing now which was a welcome bonus as we prefer to give tips based on the service we are given. The staff were so kind, attentive and they really made our visit so special. Even when we left, Johan and Gilles were ready with my in laws walking frames and sticks, helping them with their jackets and walking them back to the doors once again holding the doors open etc. We were completely blown away by their kindness! It's a terrible thing but you expect bad service in restaurants nowadays and are usually right but Johan and Gilles were exceptional in their attention and I'm SO happy I decided to book the Jet Miners for my son's birthday! We'll definitely be back for my 50th in the summer if not before! Thank you all so so much, it meant ALOT yesterday, you deserve every success xxx
Went yesterday for lunch on the way back from a morning visit to Helmsley. It’s been years since I’ve eaten here. Very welcoming and friendly service. I ordered the sea bream (which I’d never had before) with risotto, whilst my daughter order the beef burger to which she requested a few adjustments. The food arrived in good time and was very nicely presented. Daughter loved and demolished her ‘beautiful’ burger which did look pretty special. But my fish and risotto! It just tasted better and better with each mouthful and I’m still thinking about it a day later. My only disappointment is that with a small appetite and generous portion, I was unable to eat it all. A return visit soon is definitely on the cards.
We have just returned from a lovely afternoon in the Jet Miners function room celebrating Dad’s 80th birthday. Food was really lovely and all the staff looked after us. Thank you Jet Miners helping Dad along with his friends and family celebrate in style.
This is an absolutely fabulous restaurant! Service is impeccable and the staff are awesome. Today we were looked after by Gilles. Wow - couldn't do enough for us. Food was fantastic and cannot speak highly enough about the quality. Our new favourite place to dine. Thank you so much!!!
First time visiting today after a lovely climb up roseberry topping we popped in for lunch, met with smiles and warmth from the start,lovely staff helped us with menu and drinks order taken promptly,food arrived around 20 minutes,surprised how generous portions were,i had the ribs and meat just fell off the bone,yummy. Wife had the chicken burger which was about the same size as roseberry topping!!, we were talked into having a desert! Both had the Belgium waffle,ice cream floating in a giant lake of caramel sauce, 10/10 best afters I've ever had in a pub,whole experience was amazing, well done to all the staff,your a credit to the pub...thank you
